Hi Lara! I’m glad you have a blog website. Honestly I feel sad knowing that you will be leaving for Australia because your column Motherload is my favorite in Abu Dhabi Week. Im a 1st time mom and its really difficult to raise a child without any help since we are expats here. So just by reading your column (which really makes me laugh) is like having a break from my daily chores. Hope I can grab a copy of your new book and will be able to finish it before my son cries again for his bottle of milk : )

Thanks fo reading! I’m glad to hear I ws able to make you laugh. I totally remember those early days with my first son and how overwhelmed I felt so much of the time. Hi Laura! My book club in Hot Springs, AR just finished reading your book. I LOVED it! My daughter is 10, and my boys are 7 & 5, so I could totally relate.
I thought I must write you after my 5 year old walked in holding your book. “Mom, is this ‘The Hunger Games’?”. The guy on the cover looked very prepared to eat, so to him, after hearing about ‘The Hunger Games’ ad nauseum from his sister, it made perfect sense!!!
Keep up the great work! You make all harried moms feel a little bit more sane!!! 🙂
I finished reading your book while at Jesse and Christina’s home. The further in I read, the more I laughed and enjoyed it. I had to slow myself down in reading it as I wanted the enjoyment to last longer. I’ll probably re-read it again in the near future.
