  1. Hi Lara! I’m glad you have a blog website. Honestly I feel sad knowing that you will be leaving for Australia because your column Motherload is my favorite in Abu Dhabi Week. Im a 1st time mom and its really difficult to raise a child without any help since we are expats here. So just by reading your column (which really makes me laugh) is like having a break from my daily chores. Hope I can grab a copy of your new book and will be able to finish it before my son cries again for his bottle of milk : )

  2. Hi there,
Thanks fo reading! I’m glad to hear I ws able to make you laugh. I totally remember those early days with my first son and how overwhelmed I felt so much of the time. Hang in there – it gets easier :). Let me know if there’s anything in particular you’d like to see on the website that you think would be useful and stay in touch!

  3. GREAT web site, Laura!! The content very interesting (Hell, I thought I was a pretty good writer, although I’m not so sure about that any more after reading your posts here!) Not only that, but your site is very easy to understand and navigate. I’m surprised by the effort that many others put into making their web sites preposterously difficult to find your way around them! 😉 Fantastic work, Laura! Keep it coming!! 🙂

  4. I’m so glad you approve! It’s been fun writing it – I needed the creative outlet. Already great to hear from you and all your adventures, as well.
Thanks for reading, writing and liking me!

  5. Hi Laura aunty,

Its me, John (small) from the U.A.E. How are you? We’re fine. Hope you and the boys are fine. Give our virtual Hi5’s to Jacob and Nathan. Are you on Facebook? 🙂

  6. You know, the biggest, strongest warrior in Robin Hood’s band was called Little John – so you wear that name with pride, my boy :). It’s wonderful to hear from you! The boys miss you and your brother and everyone else in Abu Dhabi. How are you going? Yes, I am on Facebook – look me up!
Hi 5 right back at cha!

  7. Hi Laura! My book club in Hot Springs, AR just finished reading your book. I LOVED it! My daughter is 10, and my boys are 7 & 5, so I could totally relate.

I thought I must write you after my 5 year old walked in holding your book. “Mom, is this ‘The Hunger Games’?”. The guy on the cover looked very prepared to eat, so to him, after hearing about ‘The Hunger Games’ ad nauseum from his sister, it made perfect sense!!!

Keep up the great work! You make all harried moms feel a little bit more sane!!! 🙂

  8. I finished reading your book while at Jesse and Christina’s home. The further in I read, the more I laughed and enjoyed it. I had to slow myself down in reading it as I wanted the enjoyment to last longer. I’ll probably re-read it again in the near future.
So funny! (Crouching toddler, hidden potty!!! so true)

Being your Aunt only enhances my enjoyment of your writing. Keep it up!!

  9. I’m so glad you like it! Amy said that Hayley picked it up and read over 100 pages in one sitting, but then she’s only young :). I’ll bet you’re over the moon with your new grandbaby – congrats to all of you and thanks for reading!

  10. OMG! This is the best comment I’ve ever gotten! Thanks so much! I’ll have to come visit your book club the next time I’m in the States – thanks again and I’m so glad you like it!

  11. Howdy! Would you mind if I share your blog with my facebook group? There’s a lot of people that I think would really appreciate your content. Please let me know. Thank you
